<p style="text-align: left;">Through social media, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/01/13/haiti.social.media/index.html">we&#8217;ve become virtually real-time witnesses to the earthquake in Haiti</a>, but more importantly, we can become active participants in helping out.  As reported by CNN, <a target="_blank" href="http://money.cnn.com/2010/01/13/technology/twitter_haiti_donations/index.htm">the Red Cross is mobilizing support via Twitter</a>.  All you need to do is text &#8220;Haiti&#8221; to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts.  You can also spread the word by re-Tweeting posts from <a target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/redcross">@RedCross</a>.  I am sure there are many more ways to give; in the interest of time, I&#8217;ve cited the @RedCross effort.</p>
