Marketing revolutionaries have nothing on him

Reuters just breathlessly reported that “Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro stepped down on Tuesday 49 years after taking power in an armed revolution.” Wow, the questions abound:

* First, since when do dictators for life get to “retire”?

* Who plays him in the inevitable movie? (My dark-horse candidate would be Michael Douglas as we know him from King of California):

* What does he do now? If his health were better, I’d love to see him help Jimmy Carter become a part-time carpenter, part-time freelance gadfly to the world’s leaders.

Fidel, marketing revolutionaries cry out for your voice in the blogosophere. You started a revolution. You are living through one now.
